APAC members are invited to attend this free members’ meeting in Dublin on Thursday 8 November before the annual APAC Study Day in Galway.

APAC members are strongly encouraged to apply for travel grants to attend the Study Day events. Travel grants can cover transport and one night of accommodation. The deadline for applying for a travel grant is Wednesday 10 October at 5pm. Find out how to apply.

11.30am – 1pm
Welcome by Dublin City Archivist Dr Mary Clarke followed by three short talks:

  • ‘Anna Manahan, Actress’ (Eilis McCarthy, Theatre Archivist, Dublin City Library & Archive)
  • ‘Ira Allen and the Queen’s Theatre, Dublin’ (Cecil Allen, Theatre Historian)
  • ‘The Theatre Royal Dublin’ (Conor Doyle, Theatre Historian)

1-2 pm
Lunch (provided)

2-5pm
Walking tour of Dublin Theatre Trail, to include visit to Micheal Mac Liammoir Gate Theatre exhibition at Dublin City Hall.

Evening
TBC

Overnight stay in Dublin (to be arranged by attendees).

APAC 2018 Study Day

The Study Day will take place on Friday 9 November in Galway. The Study Day is free for APAC members and €20 for non-members.
